I thought Microsoft released a patch for this a while back...

Just set it to manual and turn it back yourself. It only has to be done twice a year. :P

What did you do back in March when it was time to move the clocks forward? Lol.

Here's the patch.

Some of our computers already went back an hour (stupid). My custom Windows install didn't do it though, and neither did my Linux box.

Funny-semi-on-topic-story: A friend of mine was late to a marching band competition today because her family set their clocks back early.

No, if he set his clocks back an hour, he's behind. So if it's really 3:00, his clock says 2:00. By the time his clock says 3:00, it's really 4:00.

No. She was late because when it was 11:00, her clocks said 10:00 (fall back).

EDIT: heh, bic and Sky beat me to it.

My computer is dumb. Doesn't it know that NEXT week is DST? It had me so confused! Yesterday I thought it was almost 8 but it was almost 9! I missed Simpsons!

Wow, don't you guys patch anything? I mean, the whole DST thing started almost 7 months ago back in March, and so few people actually have the patch? I mean, I always manually check the Windows automatic updates and I know I spotted that one and made sure it was installed. Same thing on my Macs. You people need to keep up with the times. :P
