I've been having some problems with my SJ3 recently. Previously I thought I fried the circuit board, but then it started acting funny, as if it was about to work. Then I took a second look at the connector going from the "controller" board to the NOAC, and it FELL RIGHT OFF.
So it looks like the NOAC MAY still work, but I need to re-wire it to test it. If it works, it's going to be portable anyway, so I figured I woujld just wire the test cables up directly - but i'm not sure how.
I split open a video jack and found that there was a ground wire (on the outside) and a signal wire (on the inside) ... The problem is, I have no idea where I can ground the ground wire and keep this thing portable. Even worse, I"m not sure where I wire the power either - I mean, I know what hole on board it goes to, but do I need to ground thie power wire somehow? And how do I get it to receive power from the outlet without a plug (the one that was on the controller board is kind of defective.)
I searched all the documents for the sj3 i could find, but I still don't have an answer. Can anyone help?

I know where each wire goes, I have a pinout of it, AND the board says where each ones goes.
I mean power - Do I have to ground it somewhere?
And the INSIDE of the wire - the composite cable that goes to video has TWO wires inside, one is a ground, and one is the signal. Where do I put the grounds? Is the "ground" on the board where all wires should be grounded, or does that input need to be grounded? If it NEEDS to be grounded, where do I ground it to if I want it to be portable?
I was also looking for a suggestion on how to power the 5v spot - I don't have a way to wire it up to the plug that I know of.
