3 free days of online from halo 3? What?

I've been hearing people talking about microsoft giving EVERY 360 owner free GOLD for 3 days due to halo 3.

Well, Uhh.. I don't seem to have it. I cant download COD 4, and that requires gold to do so.

How do I get the 3 free days?

Nope. I found out, its only for people who live in the US.

Wow, thats stupid. From what websites said, it would be worldwide. I'm gonna try making a new account with an american address and such and see if that works.
