A DS phat/Lite cross over.

I want to know if anyone could give me some tips or links.

I want to get a DS phat and mod it so that it has the light capabilities of a lite, with one exception. The light can be turned off or set to one of the four lite settings. Get it?

In short, I want a DS with an adjustable light. I know there are screen mods all over the place of a DS, what about light mods?
If I were to do this, would it be a unique or "first of" accomplishment or is this fairly common?

I don't think you will be able to do it through the GUI. You may have to install a switch. It doesn't sound too hard. Just LED mod it and make it adjustable somehow.

Benol, consider googling first.

Led modding a ds is pointless, why bother reinventing the wheel? WHy do you need to make it ajustable anyway? USe the backlight thats already there, i gather its a cold cathode?

If it is be carefull, those things give a nasty bite, somone made a taser out of one at school

In theory you would just need a potentiometer...
