Do you have a technical question that doesn't really fit a specific console? Want some general info on electronics, hacking, making cookies, etc? Here's the place to ask! Go nuts.
So, I finally finished rebuilding my computer. I have a Windows install on it already, XP Professional from my previous version of this computer. It boots nice and works fine, but I'd like to re-install windows just to make it play nice with the new mobo's ACPI and such. Is there a simple way to do this without having to have to re-install everything I already have? I have at least half the drive full of programs alone, and I don't have much time to re-install all of them.
How would that allow me to run my currently installed apps, if it's a new environment? The only reason this computer clings to windows is for gaming, and by installing windows on a new drive, my currently installed games won't run.
