RUSH!!!
So Sunday I went to the Rush - Snakes and Arrows concert! It was completely awesome, those guys still have it even though they're old.
Does anybody else here listen to Rush, or went to the concert? If you don't, I would definitely recommend trying them out. My favorite album is Moving Pictures. Their new CD Snakes and Arrows is surprisingly good also.

While I absolutely love Rush, I still oftentimes catch myself questioning the choice of Geddy Lee as vocalist, although he is a FAN-F***ing-tastic bassist (Right behind the late, great John Entwistle on my list). Furthermore, I consider Alex Lifeson one of the most underrated guitarists of rock. Its a shame that his name isnt included in casual conversations of great guitarists. I had an opportunity to attend a concert, but unfortunetly certain obligations popped up at the last second, still, I suggest any fan of rock witness at least one of their performances. In addition I suggest that everone, lend their ear to the greatest band on earth, the metal gods...Judas Priest.....

Psshh, you need to listen to some Primus now. The Dead Milkmen and the Cramps rank pretty high up with me aswell.XPCportables wrote:Whatever. There is not another band on the face of this earth that has as much talent as Rush. It's definitely the greatest combination of musicians around.

Me and a couple friends went to the concert at PNC Bank in NJ back in July. I'm not a huge fan, but it was some good music and we had a good time. I only went for YYZ, being the videogame geek that I am.

The mention of Slayer in that statement is as appropriate as Lamb of God's is baffling.jedi knight wrote:You forgot Slayer and Lamb of God.dudex77 wrote:Rush is the crap! Them and Primus are up there as music gods.
In other news, Danny Carey pisses all over Neil Peart. Also, Rush is nowhere near the collection of musical talent this planet has ever seen; that's what Weather Report existed for (pick any one of their eighty-two incarnations, they're all great). Jaco Pastorius FTW!

Primus Pwns all except Tool.
Primus: My name is Mud. Gotta love a 5 string bass plus bigger bass drum.
Their songs are about random fun things, unlike today's trends of songs about death and depression. And you gotta love their bass.
Or my favourite,
Restin'Bones
