Hi guys,

I've got a nice old wall wart that I want to put a new connector on. I want to make sure that I've got the right wires as positive & and negative though. Can someone please confirm? I'm kind of guessing that the wire with the writing on it would be Positive, while the other one must be negative. Please let me know if you agree. Thanks.

Well I did try a multimeter, & it appears that it's the opposite of what I thought. thanks.

Seeing as you are working on the low voltage side, getting shocked isn't part of the issue. Frying the output is :lol:

usually the wire with the white line/ribs is the positive one, I think.
