Good Genesis games

I grew up without a Genesis, but I know a lot of people really loved theirs.

But what are some good Genesis games? I've tried out a few, but I didn't really find them to be terribly fun. The only game I have found that I've really enjoyed so far is Sonic 2 (though I really haven't tried that many titles).

I had heard that Vector Man was awesome, and it did visually look pretty good. However, I thought that the levels were needlessly long and boring.

Sonic the Hedgehog is also supposed to be really good, but I thought it lacked polish and was slightly awkward to control.

So, what do you think are the best Genesis games?

I'm sure someone has posted a topic like this before, but I didn't run into one on the first few pages of search results, so I figured it was worth asking again.

These are definitely the best games I've every played for Genesis and I strongly recommend all of them. In order of best to worst (not that any are bad);

1. Sonic 3

2. Mortal Kombat II

3. Virtual Bart

4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Hyper Stone Heist

5. Jurassic Park: Rampage Edition


And if you do get a CD I strongly recommend Night Trap and Corpse Killer.
