Can this portable be hacked?

I happened across a Rumble Station by Pelican not long ago on eBay for like $7 shipped. I am a big fan of the Color Dreams games (much in the way I am a fan of bad movies) so this intrigued me. However the unit is absolute garbage. I have to wonder why someone designed it to rumble every time you push a button unless it has a "secondary" use.

Anyway, my question is do you think this can be hacked into a decent portable or at least hacked into a better controller unit without the rumble or uncomfortable controller. The other option is, could the built in games be taken out and put in a new case for use on an NES or something.

Any ideas are very welcome.

You could always just open it up and remove the rumble.

I doubt you could remove the games, there probably on a rom chip. If so then no.

could you post a picture or link to this 'rumble station', that would help us give you better answers.
