Post by Felino »

I saw a while ago a report about running full blown macosx / windows on an apple tv.

Would the apple tv be a good thing to mod and put places, much like a Picto ITX? Makes a good stack anyhoo.

Just an idea for somone.

Check out Revision3.com, under the Systm section. They have an episode that goes through the whole process. It's pretty cool, just don't expect anything powerful out of the Apple TV, it's a 1.5GHz CPU, and about 512MB ram, not really impressive by today's standards.

Well don't expect to run any games like World of Warcraft on it then.

THing is, they have a dedicated 64 mb graphics card, and the osx86 edition of macos needs very little power, it was designed to fun on a ppc platform, as you said, is very efficient.

I still think somone could use it for somthing, say like the stool on had?
