My TurboNES

Post by kidw/32+systems »

Well after playing with my stack of 10 NESs I decided it was time to mod one. I painted the case in my favorite colors, overclocked it with a switch, headphone jack and added a fan. First of all I screwed up the paint so if you look at it closely its crap and it is only overclocked to 2.3 cause that was the only oscillator I had but I can always swap it out for a new one which is why the fan is there and it makes it sound turbo charged. I thought it was loud but I turned on my xbox and it wasn't as loud. Now I just have to put the words back on the flap some how.

That's some pretty sweet modding you did to your NES. I absolutely love the paint job, with or without the Nintendo logo. :) You did great on it overall, I love it. Maybe you could paint a controller to match? That'd be sweet! :D
I'd like to do every mod I could think of to an NES if I had like, ten NESs to 'play' with. But I only have one NES and all the ones I find at thrift shops costs 20 bucks for a crapped out one at the least. :x

Have fun! Oh wait, you're doing that already.
