Homebrew Arkanoid for DS?

Post by Super Cameraman »

I've been addicted to Arkanoid recently, and I need a portable version of it. I'm not talking about Breakout or Alleyway, I need Arkanoid. I had a version for DS a long time ago, but I can't find it. Has anyone ever found one that was really close to the arcade version?

Or, is there a way to search Google for things made before a certain date? With this official Arkanoid DS, you can guess what Google comes up with instead of what I'm looking for.

Try dl.qj.net
If there is a homebrew game, it'll more than likely be there.

I already looked there and no, it's not there.

I did however find something that could work. It's called MarcaDS. It's apparently MAME for the DS and it says Arkanoid is playable with the stylus. I tried this, but the program won't work. It just says "Searching FAT Drivers." What does this mean? Do I have to reformat my card? Or is it something that has to do with dldi, or what is it? Can I fix this?

EDIT: Now I have the new version and it's giving my an EFS error... :(

MarcaDS.nds has to be in the root of the card, and if your card doesn't auto-DLDI, patched by you.

How to DLDI Patch:
1. Download the patch from here for Slot-1 cards, and for slot-2 carts.
2. Download the patcher from here
3. Run the .exe file in the archive, after that, just browse for the folder with the DLDI patch in it, and in the other box, browse for the .nds file.

I did that but I still get "EFS failed !!!"

:(

EDIT: I thought maybe I could use the SNES version, but NO! SNES emulators don't work! Could it be my flashcard? It's an EZ-Flash V.

SneMulDS says it works with EZ-Flash V, but it's not finding the roms. I have the roms in the SNES directory, I patched the NDS file, but it's still not working!

Could it be my memory card?

Bump!!

So, it turns out, it was the patcher that was the problem. Now I use DLDIFixV. I think it's made specially for the EZ-Flash V.

SNEmulDS works, PERFECTLY! It's amazing! The only problem is the mouse isn't working. That's why I wanted Arkanoid for that. I played it on my PC with the mouse, and it was awesome, but it won't work on the DS.

MarcaDS also works now, but my Arkanoid rom won't load. It says it wants arkatayt.zip, so I put that on the card, and now it won't load it. It says it's missing a file.
