Nintentastic (Pretty Interesting)
So I was thinking and I have decided to help others whenever I ask a question, so here goes:
1)Does anyone know how to turn the DS lite into a PDA using software and no hardware mods?
2)What should I remove from my GCN mobo to make it easier to portabalize?
Some cool info:
Recently, someone has made a wireless Wii sensor bar. Check out lifehacker and instructables for more.
Someone has ported a homebrew version of Rogue to a game console that FITS IN AN ALTOIDS TIN!

actually, r4ds is a NDS/NDSlite cartridge that allows you to play "backups" and homebrew. it uses MicroSD/TransFlash for the storage media. it does NOT require hardware mods at ALL. it just is a cartridge that plugs in just like a game. its easy to use. i have one! they're awesome if u want to know of a good place to buy one, pm me. ~$80 for a R4DS (Revolution for DS) and a 2gb MicroSD/TF. It also comes with a MicroSD-->SD card so it can be read by a SD card reader. The R4DS itself comes with a MicroSD reader, but its pretty cheap, breaks on most ppl, although I've had mine for over 6 months and it still works. I use it about 1 time per week. Its really nice to have. I like it!

you mean DSOrganize? im pretty sure they still have it. but if they dont i have it too. i was trying to find a web browser, cant get it to work, but never bothered to delete it. its handy to delete crap off the MicroSD card that i dont need anymore. that way i dont have to connect to the computer.

Why do you need a PDA? I thought I needed one, but it ended up only being cool/really used for a couple weeks. If you want a PDA, be lucky like me and find a palm m105 for $3 (untested, batteries had vented, cleaned that out and it works good) and ipaq 3600 for $5 (untested, gave it power and it worked, battery is toast, but they're only ~$15 shipped on ebay) at a thrift store. I'll sell you the ipaq if you want it.

ya, get a palm or similar. in me and my dad's opinion, the Palm Tungsten T3 is the best. He gave me his, but it's battery sucks. they dont manufacture them anymore, but on ebay, they'll have to be there. search: "palm t3"
btw, they have some good games for it to pass time. Insaniquarium and Bejeweled 2 are my favorites.

I had a palm, but it sucked (no color screen, 3 hour battery, etc.). I need something for my businesses. Frequently I find myself in someone's car or at a place where my laptop isn't practical and I need to take note or jot something down. I was thinking of a new palm, but I'm not paying 200 USD for one. I wouldn't mind buying used, but it needs to be good and cheap (never thought i'd say that).

3 hour battery? Thats ok, if its just for notes it shouldn't be constantly on.Murdok09 wrote:I had a palm, but it sucked (no color screen, 3 hour battery, etc.). I need something for my businesses. Do you need wifi? What features do you need? How long between charges do you want? Palm or Pocket PC (Palm for ease of use, Pocket PC for multitasking)? What kind of business stuff?
I've looked into PDAs a lot over the last few years (hence I own 3), so I kind of have an idea of whats best.

I personally prefer Palm (lastest version I've used was 4.1), they made it way too hard to close programs on Pocket PCs, so after opening a few things your ram is full. But even older Pocket PCs have pretty fast processors, so you can usually still run newer programs on them, or at least better than Palm OS.ZN13 wrote:I had a Pocket PC, but my dad pawned it off...
I don't much care for the palm OS.
Just my two cents...
