Questionable hardware, anyone?

Ever so often we get a new peice of computer equipment nobody needs. These strange hardware peices litter garages across the world as people soon abandon them. But much stranger than the hardware, is the people who continue to use them despite the clear disadvantages.

For me, I currently have an old Iomega Zip 100 drive from the 90's hooked up to my DVD playing Dell. What kind of weird things do you guys use?

I still have a floppy disk drive even though I haven't used it for a year or more.

Despite the fact that I have a Microsoft Multimedia keyboard (or something like that, I don't really know the name but it has hotkeys on top), I still choose to use an IBM AT keyboard with my machine.

Well, we have a few Compaq 386's lying around, with I think one actually working. One has a 5.25" floppy disc stuck in it.

CRT for me. Wired trackball mouse on carpet, occasionally. Noting special.

We still have pulse dial telephone, though.

In my room
SyDOS 88e, this is SCSI removable hard drive device and each hard drive is 88MB.
5.25 inch floppy drive, I was planning to put it in my Gateway but I have yet to get the proper cable.
An old laptop hard drive, this thing is about 3/4" thick about about 200MB of storage.
Broken Commodore64, the case will be used for soomething... maybe a portable C64.

Basement
Osborne Executive, I had the thing powered up about 10 or more years ago. I have most of the disks, the instruction manual(s) and any other crap they packaged with this, believe me there is a lot of stuff.

This is what happens when you scrounge up parts:

-I've got a bunch of old Mac junk, mostly from the early to mid 90s. (Floppies, SCSI hard drives, a couple old systems, etc.) The SE/30's loaded with a bunch of software I can't find anywhere else, but unfortunately the capacitors on the logic board need to be replaced and the RAM SIMM contacts need cleaning.

There's a Conner 40 MB IDE hard drive in a box in the garage. It's got MS Works 1, DOS 3, and some family tree software on it. It still sort of works, at least Works was completely recoverable.

Can't forget about the Quantum Bigfoot hard drive! It's 3 gigs, and has the same footprint as a DVD-ROM drive. (But it's half the height.)

But the most oddball thing is definitely the Powerbook 5300 prototype.

My most obscure thing is my TV. It's 60 inches, but it's an old fashion front projection TV with a concave fiberglass screen and a mirror that flips down to aim the 3 primary color CRT projectors at it. It has a pretty fuzzy image though which was fine back when I played playstation and N64 on it, but I need a new one for newer games.
