So I bought a semibroken Sega Nomad off ebay. Yes, I know about it's terrible battery life. But what's broken about this one is the screen (the orange blotch problem). So what if I was to remove the original screen assembly, and just use the nomad guts as a base? I have my own 5" screen I'd rather use. I could make a portable out of the nomad, since it already has a great cartridge port built in. The case I'm using is roughly the same size as the nomad, but a bit wider, so I could fit in this awesome screen.
But how long would the battery life be if I removed the nomad's original screen? I would think that that is the huge battery eater.
New sega idea.
