OEM Samsung Replacement? (Xbox360)

I've been searching for a while for a way to fix/replace my broken Samsung TS-H943 dvd drive. A week ago, I got 2 red lights (overheating) and the disk tray popped out. All data on my HD was fried and when i powered the system on about two hours later (now in a more roomy area) the tray went in and would not go back out. Is there a way to fix it? If not, how easy would it be to buy a new drive from ebay or elsewhere and replace it or should it be send to microsoft? (seal is still intact, no mods yet)

The gears probably got misaligned somehow. Check out llama.com's xbox (not 360, although there may be something there in the 360 section for your specific drive) dvd drive repair tutorial.

Does the tray sound like it wants to come out? My original Xbox has done that a couple times, it was the bezel thing on the tray getting caught on the case, so I just had to lift the tray a bit and it came out.
