C compiler please help

Hey all, please dont reject this message because of the fact that i'm a noob. I need a free C compiler ive tried google all the ones I found require admin right to install and I dont have that on my user account can you please help me and tell me where to find free C compilers that do not require admin right to install? or can someone who already has one send me a link to down an already installed/unzipped version? please help me.

A lot of Software is going to require you to have admin access. I believe there was just a thread on here about how to crack the passwords to accounts in Windows.

If you have XP Pro, Login using Username: Administrator Password: root (It might be different if someone changed this password. I'd be willing to compile it for you if you can't get anything to work.

I dont have XP i'm using Windows Vista. I'm learning C and I need a compiler.

You arent going to find a free compiler that runs on vista and dosent need admin privileges.

just about any software needs admin rights.

Who has the admin account around your house? just ask them to let you install it. its just a compiler.

and if they wont let you citing "virus and spyware" concerns, well then they are too ignorant to have the admin account, so crack it.

also, borland offers a good free compiler.

ive tried Borlands and no luck. I even lt a freind download and install Miracle C and put all the files in a folder and sent it to me but he used winrar and I can install it because once again admin rights. I need it to see if my codes work otherwise i will just code everything in notepad and once I get a compiler compile it but what if I program the whole game and then once I compile it i find it it doesnt work how frustrating will that be?

If you need to open a .rar archive go to www.portableapps.com and download Portable 7zip. It will run fine without needing installation.

My question is, why don't you have admin privileges? If it's not your computer, why not get your own? Or if you need a cheaper solution, have whoever has admin privileges install Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 so you can have your own virtual computer to tinker with?

Try Bloodshed Dev-C++. I think you can get a ZIP version

I'm a 14 year old no job how can I get my own p.c.? Ive tried downloading virtual mac but no luck, my dad is the admin and he doesnt even use this p.c. he has an apple laptop. Is just that my bro download roms and the p.c. caught a virus so he doesnt really trust us with the p.c. so hes the admin.

1. Do chores

2. Earn money

3. Buy a used computer and clean it up

1. Mooch. See if anyone you know has an old computer sitting around. Even a Pentium 2 is more than enough for what you want.

Spoiled kids. I had a Pentium 133 machine hobbled together with junk parts when I was your age.

If you can't get the money for your own computer, then Virtual PC is your best bet. It's free, if you have a copy of Windows sitting around then that's free, and you can always install something like Ubuntu on it if you want to do development. Virtual PC is great for that kind of stuff; I use it as a sandbox web server.

Then why not ask him to install the C compiler and/or virtual PC for you?

Dude, I was 14 when I got my first job (Last Summer lol) and I made about 2000 bucks. I bought a laptop. Just have your parents help you find one, Look in the newspaper, etc.

Virtual PC 2007 is pretty good. If I were you just find an old version of Windows laying around your house and your set. If you can't find an old Windows CD, you could install Linux (I recommend Ubuntu, PCLinuxOS and DSL). C Compilers won't give you any viruses, spyware, adware, etc. so just tell your Dad that. I hate people that think a program will crash your computer when its noob teenagers that use Limewire and download a 12kb .exe file for a song in mp3 format (Seriously, people are that stupid)

Its likely not that easy. Most programs have to write stuff to the registry, so you can't just copy the files.

man i'm screwed. I know this will be taking it over boartd but i dont meant to ask for too much cant someone make a small C compiler? I dont care about the extras, i just want to compile C code.

Let me zip up my installation. dev-c++ doesnt use the registry.
