Xbox 360 questions

Post by HotDog-Cart »

Hey, I have two questions. How do I put a new faceplate on a 360 core, and when I bought the 360 it came with a sticker, that said "XBOX" and had the X on it. On the bottom it says: P/N: XXX-XXXXX-XX. Whats the sticker for?

Maybe a part nr for the sticker. Usually even the amount of stickers made get marked.

To replace the faceplate lay the 360 horizontally. On the right-hand side (what would be the bottom of the unit if it were standing upright) there will be a slot towards the front. Take a penny or whatever coin you have available and put it in the slot, push in, and twist. This will pop the faceplate loose, so you can pull it off the rest of the way quite easily.

Then put the new faceplate on from the left-hand end to the right. Pressing in the end last where you popped the original one loose at.

Hopefully you can follow those directions. Long story short just put a nickel in the slot and twist. The rest should be self explanatory.

Hey, my 360 has something wrong with it. When ever I download a demo, it either freezes when displaying ESRB rating, OR ingame. (Its just with the demos).

Is that a problem with the xbox, or with the HDD? (The Male end on my HDD moves, like, you can wiggle it.

A HDD maintenance (thanks Microsoft) fixed the problem, but it quickly started again.

Just an update. I phoned microsoft, and they told me that I have to delete my gameraccount, and then connect to live, then run maintenance, then download demo again.

That sounds pretty odd. Let us know how it goes!
