Dual Monitor Help

Well my laptop had a vga port so I thought I would try out a dual monitor set up and is their anyway to make it so the second monitor doesn't mimic the first??

Right-click your desktop, properties, and go to the settings tab. Experiment in there, you might have to go to advanced settings. Your laptop might not be capable of two separate monitors, it could just be for hooking it up to projectors for presentations, but I bet it can have two separate things displayed.
You doing this for those Live Search Games? I wish I had a network card for my laptop, I'd be trying dual monitors with it if it had internet.

right click desktop, go to the settings tabs, where you can change the resolution. if there is a box with a 1 and a box with a 2, follow the instructions to make the 2nd monitor work.

On laptops, I believe when you right click the desktop, it should have an option that says "monitor connection" [or something to that extent], and you'll be able to set it from there.

I'm going to try and see if my laptop can do that. I've had a 19" wide LCD sitting useless, I figure if I can get it to run a game on one screen and have the internet on the other, a very nice setup for researching items or quests quickly.

I'll say this most graphics cards in the past two years have the ability to run dual monitors. The only exceptions I can think of are the Intel graphic chips, they're low power chips.

I would say check to see if you can do it in the windows screen properties first. If not check for a driver update and see if they've added that option. If not you might have to look online for a thrid party program to do it for you. Google search should work. And I have heard of such programs, but no I don't remember what their called or where to find them.
