my snes

i got a snes the other day, stripped it of the case and threw it back together again. It worked the first time i turned it on, then it stopped working for some reason. Any advice. Also, what could i take off the board? im thinking that metal SHVC sound modual can come off. Also, is there any good places to go to get a tutorial on what to remove from the board. i beleive my board is the 1st gen one. (the one with the huge sound thing right)

Ya sound thing is first gen. Sound can't be taken off. Even if you don't want sound it won't work without it.

what is the best way to reduce the size of it? I was thinking just using ribon cable and relocating it

Ya. (I have worked with first rev snes but it didn't have the apu) you can prob take the metal of of it to.
