Yobo power help

I was wondering how/if i could get the yobo to run off less volts then 9vs because all the other nes's and snes's run off 5v with a little hacking. Pictures would help but are not needed. Thanks

Doesn't it have a 7805 IC?

idk but what would it look like and how could i downsize it sorry im new to making portables but i do no a lot about computers :D. Wait is that the regulator that ben heck uses on his nesp cuz if it is i dont understand how he wires it up could someone explain it to me. Thanks
