My newest crazy "scheme"

Post by Gump-in-space »

So I was talking to a few of my freinds, and we have decided to make a gaming magazine. But noooooooo, not just any magazine! Called "Full Spectrum Gamer, it is designed to prove that fanboys CAN rate games fairly.

The magazine is centered around games from every system from Genesis to Gamecube. I happen to be a Sega fanboy, my brother Daniel is a Nintendo fanboy, my buddy Chris is a Sony fanboy, and my other freind Michael is a Microsoft fanboy.

Here's how it works:

Step one: We choose a year (even if it doesn't include one of our fanboy's systems, for example 1990-2000 for the Microsoft fanboy). A good example is 2001.

Step two: Each of us chooses a game from our respective console to showcase for that year. Example: for 2001 I would choose Sonic Adventure 2 for the Dreamcast, Daniel would choose Pikmin, Chris would choose some PS2 game I've never heard of, Michael would undoubtably choose Halo.

Step three:We review our games, and give them an honest rating, then play all of the other games and review and rate them. It is assembled in a huge feature in the center of the magazine.

Interesting concept, eh? I figure at least some gamers would be interested. So here is what I need from you guys.

Should the game with the highest rating be crowned game of the year for its year? If so, what if there's a tie?

WHAT SHOULD I PUT IN THE REST OF THE MAGAZINE?!?!?

prove that fanboys CAN rate games fairly.
One problem I see with this...........a person who rates all games fairly is not a fanboy. A fanboy, by definition, will not rate all games fairly :P Your statement is a logical impossibility!

Game reviews. Game previews. Gamestop employees are allowed to check-out games whenever they please, so you might consider getting a job there. Then you'll be able to positively fill your magazine with reviews.

I gotta admit man, you should probably go the full spectrum of gaming and not just classic consoles.

Penny Arcade(contains language)

Sorry had to do it

Now to see if you actually make, publish, and continue making a magazine  You'll get tired of playing and reviewing butt loads of games constantly, especially if you do it for work and not just for fun.
