Psone screen LED mod info

Well i am making a psone portable.

and someone said that if you led mod it you can cut the top of the lcd Mbo off. Is this true???i don't want to do it and then find out you can't and have to buy a new Screen , that would be terrible.

Take out your screen. See the big orange transformer on the top? Notice how all of the electronic parts and traces near the top go to it? You can chop all that off.

Well not ALL that, but you can safely chop nearly all the way down to the corner

This is the PS1 screen mobo. Cut along the dotted line without fear.
