Sixaxis modding: need help.

Post by tensh »

Hello;

This probably is very easy, but I need help with putting sixaxis into PS2 dualshock shell. The point is that I would have to have both old triggers, buttons and d-pad, and the connectivity and functionality of sixaxis.

I don't care about dualshock little shocking engines... I just don't want to buy extra converters that doesn't work with all games eventually. :)

Maybe I can put together the upper shell of sixaxis and lower of Dualshock? :) but what about the triggers then? Maybe it all can be done without cutting the wires?

Please help, any tips are appreciated.

Why is it called the six axis, when there are only three axis's (is that how you pluralize it?) of movement 0_o

one axis is the up down tilt.
then left right tilt.
than the side rotation thing.

they must have counted the up as 1 andt the down as anothrer axis.

I think it's Six Axis's including the two joysticks.

-Super, not at all contributing to the subject.
If you're looking at this post and it was made before 2008, just ignore it.

They're probably referring to the coordinate system and flight dynamics.

X (side to side), Y (up and down), Z (forward and back), roll (sideways tilting), pitch (front/back tilting), and yaw (turning like a steering wheel).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pitch_%28flight%29

It's a stretch but I guess they'll do anything for a palindrome.

But back on topic, yes you probably can put the DualShock 2's back half on the Sixaxis front half. (Trying to fix the L2 and R2 buttons?)
