Making a GCp need help
i and my friends are making a GC portable we have the screen a GC but we need the Nintendo screwdrivers for disassembly and battery help do you think 4 d cell batteries would power it and if so how long? ty.

doesnt NEED 12v just needs 12v for sound. everything else is like 5v and below i think

Erm... it doesn't really need 12V *cough* if you're experienced enough to solder on a small step-up reg... how good are you? I'm not going to tell you to "start out with a simpler portable like an NESoac" like many others here would, but I am going to tell you that you should make sure you know what you're doing before you start on a GCp. D batteries are not at all ideal for a portable... of any kind. You should look into smaller Ni-Mh batteries or if you trust you won't set yourself on fire, Li-Ions.

This is true. Okay, fine. It needs 12V... but the only thing that NEEDS 12V is the audio, and the audio only takes a few mA, thus, you only need a very small step-up. My point: Don't use D batteries, don't set yourself on fire with Li-Ions, use a 12V step-up if you can, and don't sleep with... ah... that'da been pretty tasteless.
