What counts as bandwidth usage?
More specifically, if I have large pictures hosted by imageshack or putfile on my site, will it use up my site's bandwidth when it is viewed?
Hey, sup?

ImageShack lets a picture use up to 100 MB of bandwidth per hour, which is just fine unless you're trying to pull huge images on a high traffic site. (I don't know of an image host that offers unlimited bandwidth for free.)
Remember to make a resized copy of your image with an image editor to embed in your site. Don't link directly to the image and resize it with HTML. (That looks awful, takes longer to load, and eats up bandwidth faster.) You can link the thumbnail to the full version, though.
A <50k thumbnail linked to a <1 full size image should be adequate. If the thumbnail is 100k it can be accessed about a thousand times, and the 1 MB full version 100. (My math is probably off.)

That helps. I hope to one day get my site on hackaday. With the release on my SNESp sometime in the next week or so, you'll all see that my skills are adequit. It really looks great, especially for a first portable (minus a few nicks and scratches, which i hope to touch up.)
Metroid WiiCannon FTW!

I'll start it in about a month. I've got a SNESp and a digital picture frame to finsih by June 21st, which, coincidentially, is the last day of exams. Then I'll start work on it. It will probably take months, because I'm slow, and because I'm going to summer school to up my Chemistry mark (It's the teacher, not me, I swear!).
I'm hoping to get it done by around Metroid Prime 3's release, because then I can get it on HAD (Worthy, isn't it?) and maybe engadet and some other sites I dream of being on, and sell it on eBay once EVERYBODY knows about it.
I just hope the controls from the E3 demo are right...
