I just checked, and they operate at around 100-120psi, not that hard to get to. I have an air compressor and CO2 tank that can easier fill a reservoir to that pressure, so I should start building one.

Rad. I'm making a regular old combustion one. Do you know the prices of ABS and PVC? I heard ABS is cheaper. I'd like to know what I'm going to have to spend on this thing.

Sounds like you need to do more research. ABS and PVC have very different specifications.

I've never heard of using ABS for spudguns or even plumbing (unless everyone calls it PVC so it doesn't confuse people). I'd say you should check Google for guides on making spudguns and see if anyone else has tried ABS. Then go down to the hardware store and compare prices and check the pressure ratings for ABS and PVC and see which is the better bang for your buck.

I've seen them made with ABS. A lot of people confuse the two because ABS looks like PVC. I just found out the 'PVC' plumbing in my house is ABS.

It's actually safer than PVC because it splits when it fails, where as PVC shatters, spreading shrapnel and killing everyone you love.

And that's why ABS is better for pneumatic cannons. PVC is jsut fine for the blowing up kind.

So...should I just make a bunch of random things? I now have 16.
