Can ps2s be hacked?

Post by xxxeagle »

Can Ps2s be hacked becuase I was playing tony hawks underground 2 online and some guy was being a real idiot in my room syaing he could hack and all this so I asked if he could get through a ban and he said yes So i banned him and he came back. Then he said he was gonna hack my ps2 I turned it off before he got a chance. Luckily. But the getting around a ban thing could be as simple as logging out then back in.

Just wondering If It is possible, I know that you can use a gameshark and make it so people disconnect online. But thats about all the hack stuff I know.

If it could be hacked it would be useful you could change game settings download Programs and other things to it and use it as a computer and you could add in levels too certain games probably.

Yes like viruses and all of that. Also peppers they can do a certain thing that discpnnects you from the server so I wouldn't be surprised If they could hack.

Actually yes you can. I'v hacked. No really. Socom. You get the game code oinline and modify the code to your liking and reburn the dvd. Put it in. A virus is also possible but a PS2 is never derectily connected thoiugh if you were trading gmae saves like on DC online you could infect another persons PS2. Also turning it off will do nothinbg as soon as you turn it on hecould hack it (if hacjing another ps2 over internet was possible) but I mean like a computer. They have your ISP. All in all its the same as hacking a computer game :P

Damage could only be done to your PS2 if he somehow found a way to burn a virus into the eeprom of the PS2. And as far as I know that would be fairly hard to do over the network. A stock PS2 doesnt have any resident storage to my knowledge.
