OK, last thread about this computer, this is the last thing I need help with.

With the coputer cases on the market, which ones are the best, anyone had experence with xoxide cases, or acrylic ones? (I like leds btw)

Well the one on the left is pretty silly. You can get the same effect by leaving your PC's parts on the table and throwing some holiday lights on top. ("Dood all the dust inside your computer be tight!!11!1!"

Go with the one on the right.

I still don't see why fancy expensive cases are so important. I would think an old PC case with new parts in it would be more fun, especially when you bring it to a LAN party. Everyone thinks you're nuts when you bring in a beige tower with a turbo button but then you fire it up and it's got a Core 2 Duo...

I mean unless you have the tower right on your desk... though I don't know anyone who does that with towers anymore.

Unfortuneatly for this cookie, it does have to be on my desk, there is no space on the floor beetween the bed and the wall for it, thats taken up with my sub.

The two pictures were an example of te xoxide cases, thats all. I liked the antic one though, anyone use one of those cases? I did like this one though.

I personally think this case looks cool, and it has good reviews. Theres a few different colors if you don't like the orange one (which I think looks best). Even though I think the same as bic, I still think I'd get this case if I built a system.

I would definably NOT recommend getting one though. Who cares what your case looks like? You should get a small case with at least three slots for a fan and If your building a new PC, You should get a good case + PS combo.

...Unless your loaded and are planning on going to a lot of LAN parties.

Well if it has to sit on your desk why not get an HTPC case? (They're designed to be laid flat, so you can put it under your monitor and save some desk space.)

I know it isn't all shiny, clear, and packed with lights but do you seriously want all that stuf when it's almost in your face all the time?

This is the case I got for my htpc:

It takes regular Mini-ATX parts and comes with a power supply. It also comes in blue, with or without clear sides, and a couple new front plastic bezels. It's a bit wider than a regular mid-tower but a lot shorter.

Get something cheep, it's the stuff inside the case that matters. I also don't recommend LEDs or fancy lighting or anything because it can get annoying.

I would suggest something that has a nice complement colour to your room. I like the idea of an old lay-flat case. Sooo 1980s.Maybe black and dark grey. Don't use too many LEDs. I know someone who was desperate to get rid of his LED-lit case because he couldn't get to sleep at night. For some reason he didn't want to turn it off.

. My room is painted green, so I got a blue case and then got some yellow LED's, it's a Brazilian paradise.
