I CAME ACROSS THIS SITE AND FOUND IT VERY INFORMATIVE, SO HERE I GO---
MY 360 WAS RECENTLEY FLUNG OFF MY DRESSER AS THE CONTROLLER WAS CHARGING. "MY KID RAN OVER CORD" LANDED ON CORNER THAT PLUGS TO POWER SUPPLY, AND BROKE THE CASE IN THAT CORNER.
I OPENED IT UP AND FIXED CONNECTER AND PLUGGED IN, BUT GOT 3 RED RINGS AND ALSO MY POWER BRICK LIGHT TURNED RED. WOULD ANY ONE HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS ON HOW TO FIX ???
BEING THAT MY WARRANTY VOIDED ONCE THE CASE CRACKED I'M STUCK WITH IT.
HEY, WHY NOT BE A LITTLE MORE quiet. OK, all fun aside, your XBOX is as we would like to say...screwed up in a screwedmobile. It's dead, finito, zelch. However, there are some odd things that might revive it. Take a dry towel, and just cover up the 360, apply some pressure on the vent holes, and just turn the thing on. There have been rare circumstances where this worked, as told on the maxconsole and gamespot forums. Maybe it's luck, but it's really improbable, because when 3 lights, it's really just an internal problem that magic towels can't fix. You seriously should not have opened it up. Microsoft would have sent you a refurbished one. But one thing that makes me think is how you say that you fixed the power connector...what did you do? Like put it on back on and resolder it on...or take some crazy glue and make some magic? Either way, I recommend you at least try the towel trick, but either way, YOUR XBOX IS PROBABLY DEAD AND GONE.

Yeah, try getting a new power connector. The same thing happed to his 360 and it turned out he just needed a new connector. If that doesn't work... you're f**ked
Wait, it FELL, right? I doubt it's the AC adaptor, because he didn't say anything about it....just the powerconnector ON the 360...man, either way, that 360 is probably dead.

JUST TO CLARIFY, WHEN I SAID I FIXED CONNECTOR I MEAN I OPENED UP 360-CAUSE WHEN SHELL BROKE IN THAT CORNER, IT BENT THE CONNECTER INWARD. ALL I DID WAS STRAIGHTENED OUT AND REPLUGGED. I BOUGHT ANOTHER CORE SYSTEM AND TRIED POWER SUPPLY, BUT STILL GOT 3 RED LIGHTS. I KNOW I CAN SELL ON E-BAY FOR PARTS BUT I'D RATHER KEEP AND POSSIBLY TRY TO MOD.

OK, you bought ANOTHER 360, and plugging in your old AC adaptor got you three lights? Ok, then it's gotta be the AC adapter. Get some 3rd party one for cheap.
