Includes but not limited to: SNES, Genesis, Sega CD, PlayStation 1, Nintendo 64, Dreamcast, Game Gear and I guess the Virtual Boy.

Well, if your familiar with Ebay, it should not cost more than 90-100 dollars. Know how to find deals and you're set.

Electronic knowledge is not too hard--how much do you know?

I made my first portable at 15, so you could do it.
You do need to have a bit of knowledge on soldering and electronics though.

Depending on if you could want to make a portable that is functional and kinda ugly, or one that is good looking and functional, the price can range from about $30 to $150.

Yep, I made my bro a genesisp for $30. I used $20 for an interact screen, and the rest was spent on parts.

Your all in luck today the March issure of Popsci came. I lookd though it to find Ben's article (or article about Ben). It talked about the SNESp, more specificly the Handbuilt case one. At the top of the page it said Build cost -$150 -$400 and 18 hours of your time.

So there's your answer.

The majority of people here are 13-20, not 14... i'm only 13! Still the youngest person on the forum! Yay! I deserve a title to say i'm the youngest person! Anyway, I'm making a GenesisP with a radica I'm getting soon, and a Hip Gear Screen (if I can find one in england).

Radica - made a Genesis/Mega Drive on a Chip (GOAC). Ben built a portable with this a few months ago.

And Unidentified Assilant - Go figure some on rather new to the forum thinks they need to be special and be given a title. You'll earn you title like the rest of use, esspecally Jack (couldnt resist).
