I've chosen a case for my first portable which will need to be modified to hold the buttons from a gamepad, but what sources of putty are there in the UK that work like the Bondo stuff the US portablizers use?
A skim through some model shop & DIY web pages have turned up one that looks like it would fit the bill but I don't know, is Loctite Repair Express Power Putty suitable for case modding?

Went to my local model shop a week ago and asked about modelling putty, bought a couple of tubes of something called "Green Putty" and gave it a try on some scrap plastic, it reacted with the plastic and didn't set in the 30 minutes it said on the tube, in fact it took a few days and I wasn't impressed with it.
So I returned the unused tube and exchanged it for some standard yellow-grey Milliput, a two-part putty, tried mixing a bit on some scrap plastic last night and it's practically rock solid already, doesn't smell turpentiney like the Green Putty and so far I think this is the stuff to use for case modding.

Goto any autobody repair shop or automotive store. i work in thh industry and i can tell ya that the putty that is used in this industry is amazing. seeing how you are in the uk, there is stuff that is made and sold there called dolphin glaze. its made by a company called UPOL PRODUCTS. really good stuff. i use it all the time.
