BlueSoleil help

Post by HotDog-Cart »

This sortof corresponds with my PC Wiimote thread, but I need to use BlueSoleil for another purpose also.

I need some help on how to use this program.

It says "Address is: 00:00:00:00:00:00" Meaning, it hasnt detected my BlueTooth "transmitter".

My bluetooth transmitter is BUILT into my AptonBookXL laptop.

The program gives me 4 choices to choose when setting up BlueSoleil. (Setting it up/configuring it under BlueTooth Devices makes it detect your transmitter.)

The 4 choices are: USB, UART,PCMCIA,BCSP

Which one of those would I choose, since my Bluetooth Adapter/Transmitter is built into my laptop?

Well it woulden't be USB, or PCMCIA I don't think.

It could be PCMCIA, or USB. I know that on my Macbook, the keyboard is detected as a usb one, but its not detachable.

If I pick the wrong one, it freezes and I have to reinstall BlueSoleil :S.

The default dot was on "USB". So it might be a USB one. But I still get address of: 00:00:00:00:00:00

:(

So would it be a UART? (I tried that, and it froze BlueSoleil. )

How do you know that it's the wrong one if it freezes? Probably means it's searching.

It freezes and, goes to not responding. I'll try again.

Do you think it would be UART?

Still gives my address as: 00:00:00:00:00:00

"Please Insert a Bluetooth Device"

"Starting Bluetooth Device"

*Clicks the Orange Circle*

"Invalid Operation"

That above, tells you what happens.

Do you have drivers installed for the transceiver?

Thats how it goes.

What do you mean by Transciever? If you mean the thing in my laptop that detects bluetooth, yes. As windows detects that I have a bluetooth device in "My Bluetooth Places".

(And Just to make sure, I installed the drivers off of the CD thats included with my laptop)
