Title, I need one because WMM runs poorly for me? Recommendations?

Try Sony Vegas. Its not exactly freeware (But It can be if you catch my drift).

Its what I use and I like it.

I remember trying to find this kind of stuff, as Movie Maker wouldn't work for me. The one that Super Cameraman recommended is good, you could try that.

Got Sony Vegas, it's cool but the problem is now, how do I trim video footage, I've got my AVI loaded but I only want a certain part of it, how do I trim.

PS: Every time I select the footage I want gone, Trim is disabled in edit.
