Fire spinning anybody?

Post by Rellizate »

Hello,
I was just wondering if anybody hear does any firespinning. For people who don't know, firespinning is basically what it sounds like, spinning fire. There are lots of different ways of doing it, but the most common is definatly poi.

Poi is basically 2 long metal chains with a "head" at the end. You light the heads, then hold one of the chains in each hand, and spin them around.

This is a set of fire poi:

Then second most common type of firespinning is firestaff. This is very common, as many people do lots of firestaff moves/tricks without even knowing what they are doing. Ever picked up a stick, and started spinning it around? What you were doing were most probably firestaff moves. So yeah, a firestaff is a long metal pole (or a staff) with one firehead on each side
They look like this:

There a lots of other firespinning things you can do, but the only other one which I do is fire nunchucks. Everyone knows what nunchucks are, and yes these are just nunchucks with one firehead on the end of each handel.
This is one of my pairs of firenunchucks, that I built my self:

And lastly, here is a video of me doing some firestaff and firenunchucks. Remember, that I have only been doing nunchucks for a couple of weeks, so cut me some slack.
:D

So yeah? What do you think? Anyone do it?

Muaah!!! Fire!!!

I've seen fire Poi before, and they look amazing! I've been debating about getting a fire diablo, but I have nowhere to perform. :( It would be cool to do the fire stuff in public, but the fire bit would make things a bit sketchy...

Yeah firebreathing is cool, but not when you get stomach alsers, and mouth cancer. My best friend hs both from firebreathing.
Yeah, I did some firestaff the otherday at the local green (a patch of grass at the center of a village). It was good, and lots of people came out of the pub and started watching me.

Yeah there are alternate ways of doing it, like using flour, custard powder, or mustard powder. I wouldn't ever try that though.

I used to do a magic show and I had some fire involved.

:!: WARNING: DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME OR AT LEAST DON'T SUE ME!!! :!:

Try non-dairy creamer. It burns quickly and not very hot. You can even put a ball in your hand, light it, and then throw it like a fireball! Fun. If you mix it with some play-doh (yes play-doh), it makes a good fire paste. Put it in water to breathe fire! Oh that show was great...

Am I the only one here who reads the GI handbook, The CHEAPEST fire paste is a mixture of Gasoline and Laundry detergent, trust me, it barely takes any gasoline at all.... Napalm formula, in between using your socks as a strangelation device and only drinking your piss once in the desert

Oh and sweet job Rellizate!

Gasoline and Styrofoam works pretty well to. Warning Gasoline is very volatile and will cause flash fires if your not careful. Anyways I don't advise you to use gasoline for any fire making at all. Use Diesel or Kerosene instead

Gasoline and Styrofoam is the original way of making napalm. It is better if you used Kerosine & Styrofoam. Also, what do people think of my video?
