best wire to use for Cart Slot, Please help
I have no idea on what wire to use to relocate my N64 cart slot, people have said to use ribbon cable but is is a pain to seperate and solder it and why waste money on it when you can get just the wire. I think most ribbon cable is around 28 gauge but I am not sure. Please would someone tell me what I gauge and type ( I know I need hookup wire, what stranding or solid core) of wire I need. Would this work 30 gauge stranded hookup wire. If not what should I use (Mouser part number or desription please).
Update/edit: I plan to useThis wire

get stranded 30 gauge wire, for wiring the N64 cart slot the pins are very spaced apart so it is easier than say an SNES one, and you can get better wire.

dude, just get the wire at radio shack, you don't need to order it online if you live in the US

They don't sell that where I live, The smallest they see is 24 gauge 2 conductor solid wire. I do not like it as it is hard to work with and it doesn't solder well. Will the wire in the update work
. I know it will but is that the best thing I can get for that price or is there anything that wil work better in the gauge?
Here is a better wire I found Click Here to see it
The only difference among this group is color and that is why I didn't select just one. I want to know if this is the best wire I can get foir this price and if this is the proper type to do mods including LEDs and Modchips and other non-high-voltage things.

I know, I know, don't double post. This is a really different thing and there has been a huge gap in time so don't kill me.
I was wondering is PVC is good or if I should go with something else. I know Teflon is available but is it good for this purpose. I know I have got wire with modchips before that are 30 AWG but I was wondering if this was TFE or PVC or what. I have got the wire kits from ModChipStore before and the wire is red but I do not know what type of coating this is
