taking apart a keyboard..

please help with this.. i removed all the screws, but when i try and take the two halves apart, it never comes apart at one end.. it just wont come apart

Hmm. There may be plastic tabs inside the plastic like there is on the PSone screen, or there may be a hidden screw behind a lable. Run your hands over the lables, feel any holes? If so, chances are there is a screw there. If there are no screws just put a flat edge screwdriver in there, and pry the thing apart!

If it has those little rubbery feet glued onto the bottom, try lifting those to look for screws too.

there was one under a label..

but i opened it up, hoping on having the keys come out so i can paint them.. and they dont.. there stuck in there

Oh, if you want the keys themselves then just pry them off with a flathead screw driver (carefully, duh), they're typically just held there with little plastic tabs. The tabs are aranged side to side so pry from the top or bottom of the desired key.

You can push the keys out from the inside now that its open, which is less likely to slip than a screwdriver and cause a huge gash in the side of them.
