30 minute gamecube led rumble mod

Post by limpport »

I got home from school today, because of exams, and something to do. So I started messing around with a gamecube controler that I broke the analog stick on. I took out the rumble, and wired up an led to the contact spots, and Lo and behold, it worked! I'll post pictures or a link to a video later. I'm coming off of the caffinene I had earlier, and need sleep.

does the rumble still work as well? because ive seen this on a lot of dreamcast controllers and stuff and imagine how awesome it would be with a game with as much rumble as ikaruga

(Note the pretty red PSone in the background!)

I'm going to get one of those clear backed controllers and start messing around with it. Fun fun!

@dudex77: I did take out the rumble, so it would split the electricity between the LED and the rumble (you can see it in the top left of the first picture).
