!!A word of Warning!!

I just wanted to warn everyone. I've been using the PTH08080 DC/DC convertor for the 3.3V line and I have had 2 of them break on me now, and in the process fried 2 and possibly 3 N64s.

If anyone knows why this is happening please tell me.

I'm going to use the LM317T adjustable regulator from radio shack and I read you can use a 333 ohm resistor and a 220 ohm. Is that correct? Can someone give me a diagram?

I would also like to be able to use something simpler.

I hate to say it but the PTH08080 DC/DC convertor is the best thing you can get from what I heard. Maybe you are running too many amps through it. The one you got might only be rated for 1 amp, get one that is rated for 2 amps.

SOunds like you havn't got it hoocked up right in all 3 cases. Noone else has probems with them.

You sure you aren't hooking it up wrong? Those things are pretty sturdy.
