regulator question

I made a custom snes case a while back with LED's and EL wire in it with clear plexiglass. but i burntout 2 ac adapters for the system because it was sucking to much power. so i want to know about how many volts can a snes regulator handle that way i can buy the ac adapter with the right voltage.

You just need a higher amperage power adapter. There should be information on how much power the EL wire uses.
