Friction Hinges
I've been web searching my but off looking for some type of laptop like friction hinge.... but I get nothing but manufacturers and wholesalers.. anyone got a good source?

Here's a few different manufacturers. I'm not sure if you have to buy a minimum amount from any of them, but there are 35 results to choose from. Chances are you might be able to buy a couple, or order a sample.

maybe I should make this a different topic, but oh well...
I am troubled about mounting the hinges in a laptop style case (without welding).
I've got tons of old IBM laptop hinges, ones that extended up along the side of screens, and several that attach to the bottom. I need to figure out a way to mount them securely to the case, with or without utilizing the screw holes in them.
