which programs are best suited for drawing a system case

well Im not to certain right now, cause Im currently useing adobe illustrator, but for 3d, I use solidworks, and im not to sure if that's the best choices. So I was wondering what the best programs would be for 2d and 3d

Well I use Adobe Flash for 2D as it is actually a very good drawing program. I use Cinema 4D for 3D as well, but that is expensive.

Sketchup is a Free program that you can download from google. I use it to design the insides of the portables. After I figure out how everthing fits I move it into Lightwave 8 and do a render of the outside of it. Lightwave however is a really expensive program.

Use Adobe Illustrator if you can afford it, any CAD-type software should work though.
