GC/NES Combo unit

Post by Jongamer »

Ok Im bored and I need space and this seems quite easy, I have this cord that came witha Intec Stereo Switchbox, mostly a Stereo where I can run other game systems through it, but had be designed for the GC to sit on top of it, and this cable is used to leech power off from the GC
Power brick, and I relized its fits Perfectly into the Back of the NES and
can run the NES off of it, I can even run the Gamecube modded witha 2nd
12v Intake Fan (Which I did when I was also bored) and the NES at the
Sametime without anything blowing or Overing heating in the Powerbrick.

And then I thought, Useing this cord, and by removing and Cutting into the NES case, I place the GC inside, and wire the NES Composite Video to
the Gamecube Video out, place the GC power Regulator Below the NES
mobo, and cut a slot in the NES for the GB player and wire that Under the NES mobo, and then Mabey paint the NES to match the Jet black GC.

To me this sounds a lot easier than Portablizing the GC and NES.

hmm... Nintendo Tower project.

Throw a SNES, N64 and GBA in and I'm interested.

I might, But then I would need to buy a Computer Tower to fit it all in, oh and probably minus the GBA, unless somebody has a GBA transverter they would like to donate.

Why put it in a computer case? Make it stackable like Lego...

I'll draw you a concept.

I second that.

Just make sure that the "lego's" are all as wide and deep as the biggest motherboard, as your drawing shows, height can vary and still look good. How do you come up with all these great ideas, EnterTheHatrix?

oh I got an idea!

Take the SNES controller port and run it to the NES, the controller will work!

Also, Why not combine then all in one case? ETHatrix, no offense, but the desgin seems to achieve in simplicity, however, I believe this kinda project requires originality! :P Why not have a black obelisk made outta black acrylic, and when you boot anything up, it cuts on a ga-zillion LEDs, throughout the system, the Black obelisk of Nintendo powa! Come on think about it!

So putting it all in one case is original, but building a stackable tower isn't?

I can see the method in your madness, but my idea seems more stock, whereas yours is completely customised, and we don't really know what level of modifications he wants to do.

From the sounds of it, he wants a more stocky feel to the system combo than completely custom.

vskid, no idea, but by the sounds of it, not everyone likes my ideas.

Chill dude, you gave it one day and got pissy about it? I personally hadn't seen your thread until just now, and I'm not exactly getting what your concept is and how these units tie together. Perhaps a drawing or a picture of what you're talking about would help me understand what you mean.
