I've fried my second N64 And I think I found the problem, on my 3.3V line I noticed that it was getting 4.5V. Will that fry the N64? Also why am I getting 4.5V, I'm using a PTH08080 with a 2.2K resistor, they said to use a 2k so I figured I was safe with something higher. Cany you tell me if that's the problem? Also If that is what I've always been getting it seemed to work fine on my first one I would play it for an hour about every day without any problems, except the Legend of Zelda OT freezing up every now and then which I attributed to a dirty cartridge.

well yeah id say 4.5v is getting into the frying region.
and the resistor sets the output voltage, using a different value will completely change the output voltage
but higher values should be making lower voltages anyways (2.2k = 3.1v). are you sure you hooked it up right? and i think it needs to be under load to work right (ie to measure the voltage on it correctly)
Yes I am but I tried on the first fried N64 and it read 7.5V! which is no regulation at all. I'm not sure if the thing is broke or if the 3V and 12V line where touching but when I tested it on the second broken N64 it said 4.5 V and the screen was running, not the N64.
