what's the difference?

what is the difference between RGB and composite video signals?
Also, what is component and s-video? I know this sounds nOObish, but believe me I haven't done much console hacking in the past except for ben's book, my soon to come ps1 laptop, and my gbc stereo sound mod.
I mean theyre all video signals, but whats the diff?
