I just bought Terranigma on ebay thinking all I had to do was pull out the tabs on my ol' SNES to play it. Boy was I wrong. That only works with super famicom games. I hear though, that a Pro Action Replay (which are region free) works as a converter. It seems that there is a port on the back of them that you plug a game from your region into and you put the PAL game on the top. There may be differnt versions of the PAR though. Can anyone confirm this and tell me which one I should keep my eye out for?
note: I really hate to bypass the lockout chip because it ruins compatibility with games like Super Mario RPG.

Well if making it run in the tv is the only problem try this. http://www.gamesx.com/importmod/snes5060.htm
However if its compatability with games and you dont want to mess with the lock-out chip you have one option short of buying one of those things to you dont want to. Do the disable lockout chip mod just set it to a switch so you can ture the mod on and off.
