Wii Shop Channel Down?

Is the Wii Shop Channel Down? Because I cannot access it. All it does is say it's connecting for like an hour then I have to either unplug the console or hold down the power button for about 20 seconds.

For some reason the Wii browser on mine isn't working... It loads then the little "loading bar circle" in the lower right corner freezes and I can't do anything with the wii. I have to hold the power button for like 10 seconds and then the wii turns off. Has anybody else been having this problem?

Well I haven't been able to connect to the Wii Shop channel yet so I can't download the Internet Channel.

My wii froze in back after leaving the wii shop channel. 0_.
