Prey vs. Quake 4 on the 360

Post by demonofaj »

Well, I've narrowed my choices to these two games. What is superior? I leave that in the hands of the fellow board members (who I trust like brothers  ).

Gears of War.
(I just played through the entire game with a friend on a 51" plasma HDTV. Gorgeous.)

He already has that one though. :) He had a similar thread to this one about a month ago between Gears and I believe CoD3. Gears won obviously. Otherwise, I agree that would be the superior choice to these 2 games. :)

I can't really remember ever hearing anything all that good about Quake 4 on the 360, but I've never played it so I can't give a firsthand opinion on it. I played the Prey demo and and it seemed like a cool game with some neat gameplay ideas such as when you die you go into another dimension and you have to work your way back into the living world. Also, it has the element where you can walk on walls and ceilings. This is pretty cool, but it did a number on me since I am prone to getting motion sickness. If you ever have a problem with motion sickness though, you may want to download the demo and play it for half an hour or so to see if it bothers you before buying it. On a high note though, the game was developed by Human Head Studios right here in Madison, WI which is pretty sweet.

So I guess of the 2, I would lean towards Prey, but for me personally I would get a Call of Duty 3, Marvel: Ultimate Alliance, or G.R.A.W. (to name a few) before either of these games. Just my 2 cents again. :D

I'm not sure about 360, but one of my friends has CoD3 for Wii and he absolutely loves the game.

Get Prey! Quake 4 runs terribly on the 360.

Prey is your best bet. It's a great game. I played it on the PC but still good.
