Not me!!!

I can't frikkin believe this! I was playing Wii Sports Tennis when, you guessed it, my Wiimote became a bullet and hit my wall. The little pins on the battery cover are now rattling inside my Wiimote, and the strap is busted. How do I get that new beefier strap from Nintendo? And what do I do about the rattling? And the battery cover comes off... Well good thing I like duct tape.

This is just a warning to all you people out there that the strap breaking is real.

You should submit to http://www.wiidamage.com . At least it didn't hit your TV...

You know Nintendo will either tell you to buy a new controller or sell you an identical replacement strap. The best solution would be to make up your own strap... maybe weld a chain onto an internal metal part... put a handcuff on the other end...

All the straps are faulty, my friend. Mine broke as well, the teather part just snapped. I bought a 3rd party replacement, and although it hasn't broken yet, it's made of the exact same stuff.

Although I must recommend getting a controller gel, you know, those slip-on silicon things? It's increased the grip on my Wiimote, and I can feel it stick to my hands when I swing it hard. Hope this helps, and good luck!

I've heard that My Nintendo members have a better chance of getting a replacement strap shipped to them immediately, so once mine break, I'm just gonna email NOA & pray they'll ship one to me.

You can get handcuffs at your local magic store, or get a used pair from steve, the trench coated midnight dweller found at your nearest dark alley.
I don't have a Wii, I hope to maybe get one after I sell an atari portable for prices out the ass....But I do know that you can make a new wrist strap out of duct or electric tape because there compound is based of rubber and latex, a material that doesn't slip, and it sticks pretty hard. So just wrap it around your wrist over the previous wrist strap and it might stay.
But it'll probably hurt when you take the tape off.

Well, I pretty much fixed everything. I'd take pictures, but I can't find my camera. (Curse you, 8th grade sister!!!) I took copper wire and secured it with that. I also beefed up my non-broken one.

heh, using fishing line, a high test line= stronger than the thick part
