NES hand-built with AV jacks?

I am building Ben's NES hand-built portable and I was going to add custom AV jacks so I can play on the TV. I have posted this before several places before, but I am eager for an answer. Someone said this was possible, but I have another question. I am going to connect the AV jacks to video out on the NES board, but will this divert al the data to the PS1 screen only(bad), only the TV (bad), short in some way(bad), or both the TV and PS1 screen simultaneously (good).

Dude, what the hell? You've made 3 or 4 threads on this, and it's not only really annoying, but totally against the rules. Stop.

And to answer your question, just wire the A/V out jacks up to the same line the SNES is outputting signal to the PSOne screen and throw a switch in. Simple as that.

i could be wrong... but i dont think theres any problem with just connecting all 3 together and no switch.

everyone week someone comes up with another crazy way to switch video lines... but has anyone even tried just connecting them all together?

thankyou, just hoping that I won't exprience 7.5 volts through my fingers whenever I hold the case near the AV jacks, like that'll ever happen.

you most likely wont feel it even if you ran your finger over the contacts

Probably not, but better safe than sorry. Plus, if you play it on the TV, killing the screen would save you some power for play time, not to mention the annoyingness (is that even a word?) of having dual images and movement out of the corner of your eye!

That's a pretty good point, CT fan. But i'm just hoping that it doesn't divert the data to only the screen so when I try it on the TV nothing shows up

i've already implemented what you are talking about by wiring 2 consoles, a screen, and an AV jack all together with the same video line. In mine, I had a switch so the 2 consoles could not be on at the same time sooo....

1. console on, screen on, outputing to tv = a slightly dimmer picture on both the TV and screen ( my guess is that they are spliting the voltage)

2. console on, screen on, TV inputting a signal to the portable = just a jarbled picture of both the console and TV signal mixed together displayed on the screen ( dosent hurt the screen)

In answer to your questions, no, nothing bad will or can happen by mixing the video signals together up the wazoo. And yes, it will output to both the screen and the TV just fine.
